Travel
Situated in the middle of Greenland's west coast, with an ice-free
harbour and the shortest distance in the country to the
international airport in Kangerlussuaq, there's always a route to
Sisimiut. There are daily internal flights from the town to
Kangerlussuaq and many weekly departures to other settlements on
the west coast. The coastal ship between Narsarsuaq in southern
Greenland and Ilulissat in the north calls in at Sisimiut once a
week in both directions.

The Seaman's Home
With a 3-star rating and well-suited for conferences and meetings.
The seamen's home is a 3-star modern family hotel offering 30 rooms

Knud Rasmussens Højskole
The school can be used as a youth hostel or for other purposes such
as for courses or the like during the period from the middle of May
to the middle of December. There are at present 18 single rooms and
17 double rooms. Several single rooms and all double rooms
are equipped with hand basins. All rooms are furnished as follows:
Cupboards, desk, chair, easy chair, alarm clock radio, laundry
driers, pin board and desk lamps. Breakfast is included in the
price, as is cleaning and tidying. Sheets, duvet covers and pillow
cases, handtowels and soap are also included in the price.
