The Polar Fish trade fair will be held in Sisimiut for
the eight time, and again the Danish organisers of DanFish
International will be in charge of stand sales and general
planning. The trade show is organised in cooperation with
the Municipality of Qeqqata and Qeqqata Business Council.
Polar Fish will be marketed in the whole of the North Atlantic
region. Visitors are expected mainly from Greenland but the
rest of the Atlantic region will be represented, and exhibitors may
meet relevant buyers from the whole of the North Atlantic region.
Polar Fish 2010 was visited by 1,540 persons. At the fair you
will establish new and maintain old contacts. In 2010 55
exhibitors from 7 nations participated in the show, which
is held in Sisimiut, the second-largest town in
Greenland. Sisimiut is known as a dynamic and commercially thriving
town, which, in addition to an ice-free harbour, is home to one of
the largest shrimp factories in the country. Sisimiut is the
natural base for a number of large, sea-going trawlers and also
supports the vital offshore fishing sector.
